Background
Daniel Migwi Kanyoro is a seasoned ICT professional based in
Rumuruti Township, Laikipia County. With a Diploma in ICT from Nyandarua
Institute of Science & Technology and a career spanning telecommunications,
real estate field operations, digital literacy support, and cyber services,
Daniel brings a rare combination of technical depth and community-focused
entrepreneurship.
The Journey
In May 2021, Daniel founded DANCOM ICT Centre in Rumuruti
Township — a bold move in an area where access to quality digital services was
limited. What began as a modest cyber café and ICT training centre has evolved
into a full-service digital solutions hub offering computer training, cyber
services, document production, and digital consultancy to individuals and small
businesses in Laikipia County.
Daniel recognized early on that bridging the digital divide in rural Kenya
required more than just equipment — it required trust, consistency, and a
relentless commitment to quality. He invested in building his own skills,
earning eight HP LIFE certifications covering Data Science, Cybersecurity
Awareness, AI for Beginners, Social Media Marketing, and more.
Key Achievements
• Established and grown DANCOM ICT Centre since May 2021,
serving clients across Laikipia County.
• Built a multi-platform digital presence integrating a website, Google
Business, Facebook, WhatsApp catalogue, and TikTok.
• Delivered professional document services — CVs, burial programmes, meeting
minutes, and business materials — to dozens of clients.
• Completed eight HP LIFE professional certifications in high-demand digital
skills.
• Set up professional email infrastructure under a custom domain (dancomict.co.ke),
establishing a credible business identity.
• Actively exploring and adopting emerging technologies including AI tools and
video generation platforms.
